Today an art specialist came to our school to deliver Stone Age workshop. We made the most amazing Stone Age scenes using pastels. We also created a drama performance based on ‘Stone Age Boy’. We also wrote some lyrics and sang the song as part of the performance. It was really awesome. Miss Thommes was an incredible teacher and we loved listening to her sing. Thank you Miss Thommes. This afternoon Professor Tim from Bournemouth University came to our school to talk about Stonehenge. It was really interesting. He told us how long ago Stonehenge was built and gave us possible reasons of why it was built. Afterwards, we went out to the school field and we built a miniature version of Stonehenge using bricks. We really enjoyed listening to Professor Tim, he was so knowledgeable and we felt quite privileged to have a local archaeologist visit our school. Click here to look at our pictures.

This morning we went on a nature scavenger hunt through Burley wood in the New Forest. It was such a beautiful morning. We almost found everything on our nature sheet. The only item we couldn’t find was a seed pod. We imagined what it would be like to live in a forest, just like Robin Hood. We hope you like our photographs. Please click here.Welcome to Year 3!
