Sandi Robertson - Parent Governor

I believe that being a Governor is both a civic duty and privilege for those able to offer their experience and time; strong governance is so important in the development of a school and its ethos, with governor support significant in helping a school to realise the broader goals of education. To govern well is to have some part in sustaining prosperity, applying quality provision and inspiring happiness and success amongst young people. Jewell Academy already stands for what is good in education and I will be proud to see it grow further and to help it flourish.

Having taught for fifteen years in a range of settings, and with a background in the Visual Arts, I am used to being highly practical and involved in the process and realities of teaching and learning. I have experience as a secondary school SENCo and as a Head of Department for Art and Photography. I continue to work as an artist and writer when not teaching and have one child at Jewell Academy.
