Jewell Academy Library

At Jewell Academy we want our children to acquire a love of books, and develop a respect for them, and we encourage them to read a wide variety of texts for pleasure, relaxation and to stimulate their imagination. Since the school opened we have been determined to have our own library where the children can see with their own eyes how much we value books, reading and a place to luxuriate in the joy of a good book. As a school, we have spent many months considering how to make the best use of the library space and how to make it inviting for the children across the year groups; and it was with great pride and excitement that our amazing school library was opened by the acclaimed Author Neil Griffiths on February 6th 2017.
We are incredibly lucky to now have a little book haven that is enjoyed by the children and the staff and houses a range of books including fiction, non fiction and poetry etc. which are suitable for children from Early Years to Year 6; and we are continuing to add to our book shelves all the time.
Our library will be a central part of a school day across the year groups and a wonderful resource for everyone at Jewell Academy as the school continues to grow and thrive.
